We have brought our little prince to watch his FAVOURITE show 'THOMAS & FRIENDS (LIVE on stage - A Circus Comes To Town) 5th Dec, last year.
This is the 2nd concert that we had brought him to & this time round, Rico does understand the
whole show very well & he did have fun EXCEPT for a moment where he had fallen asleep (LOL)
Hubby & I tried many ways to shake him up but he just simply 'bo chap' & went on his sleep.

But luckily, there was a 15mins break in between the show therefore we let him took his rest & after the 15mins break, we tried waking him up & this time, he looked so fresh ~~ What a boy! (**,)

We have brought Rico to Singapore Zoological Park somewhere in November last year. I was so thrilled & excited having this family outings cos' this reminded me when I was a kid where my parents had brought me here as well as having my school excursion BUT to Rico, he did not look as exciting as I did nor feel curious of all the animals he saw.. His expression just telling me 'Mummy, it's just an animal... what so excited about??'

School Excursion - Excursion to a PLAY - "THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF"

Rico will be going for his 1st field trip taken by his school VERY SOON. He is going to watch a play called 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' (**,)

Honestly speaking, I ever wanted to bring him to this play as the age range for this play is from 2 to 6 years old which I have come acrossed this article from the YP Magazine but then I hold back cos' I have no confidence in myself as I have no idea will Rico sit still during the play as it is rather different from the Barney Concert.

So when I've received this form from the school, both hubby & myself just gave him a try & experience & perhaps he might get 'interested' if he sees his peers watching... (**,)

So far as understood from one of his teachers, there will be about 20 students going for this field trip & there will be 3 teachers looking after.

Anyway baby, do enjoy your field trip with your teachers & peers okay & please listen to your teachers!!! (88,)

Wow, it has been quite awhile since I've last updated my blog... Well, recently was busy with my precious son, Rico's errands *smile*
He has attended his new school recently & with this, I have been monitored very closely on his performance each every single day of his attendance in school & the school itself..
Just last week, I was on my LONG LEAVES as my parents has gone for their 'honeymoon' (**,)
It really is a WONDERFUL bondings to be together with my lovely prince during my long leaves cos' he has made me discover how grown up he has become!!
For example, when I was busy making meal for him, he will sit at the living room watching his favourite show 'THOMAS & FRIENDS' & if he is hungry, he will come to me & said 'eat porriadge' **smile**
If I was to do it slow, he will become rather "impatience & threw his temper" at me & becos' of this, he got punishment from me which I have asked him to sit on his "Punishment Chair" till I'm done **sigh!**
Of cos' I will tell him the reason why is there a need to sit on the "Punishment Chair" & he will ask me to 'hug hug' him & nod his head whenever I have reasoned him (not sure whether he understand or not)..
The most funniest thing happened was when he knew I start to feel upset with his performance & was about to ask him to sit on the 'Punishment Chair', he will say 'sorli, mummy' (well, his little space of pronunciation of the word 'sorry').... I chuckled & laughed with his sensibility... lOl
Rico is a very friendly & cheerful boy too. When I bring him to school, he will wave to everyone he saw & at times, he will say 'Hello!' Sometimes, he will greet that person "Uncle or Auntie" & they will response back & said "What a courtesy boy!!" **SMILE**
His teachers also complimented him on his well-mannered personality...**so proud**
Of course, sometime I do hear about his little 'happening' in school from his teachers about him running here & there non-stop despite how his teachers has asked him to slow down but his *endless* exploration has guide his way through... Ha! Ha! Ha!
Last but not least, the proudest thing that happened at his age of 2yrs 2mths & 6days old is he has started to become an independent & sensible boy... **2 thumbs up**

Looking & observing of all these few clips, I realised that Rico has become a very independent yet careful young boy when comes to playing. True enough, *playing* does help alot in their growing ups... It teaches them how to be independent, it teaches them how to be a self-confidence person, it teaches them how to be more careful in terms of what is danger & how to deal with the situation using their self-esteem & it also helps alot in their physical approach **blink blink**

Frankly speaking, growing up with them is NO problem but how to educate them along the way is still alot more to learn & prepare. It not just about wanting them to follow what we want, it also about how we going to match the pace they are 'stepping' as nowadays, kids are not simply just kids, they are really intelligent species though at times they still do not know how to express themselves very well but expression through their faces has already done alot to tell you.

Hmm, this playground is such an educational & manipulative area that kids - around Rico's age - would love enjoying in. It's not just simply playing high & low in the compound, its also let the child have the sense of feeling & sighting as the wonderful colours really *strike* your sense of sightings & feels. Hubby & I have decided to buy this mini cactus & aloe vera for Rico to learn how to take care of things. It'll sounds rather silly how can a 2 years old child be able to know how to take care of such plants...Well, so far as we concern, we realised Rico has a VERY GOOD NATURE:) At times, he will AMAZE you with a very touchy & caring action that somewhat you just couldn't believe it... These 3 pots of mini plants are actually wanting him to learn more about RESPONSIBILITY, CARING & LOVE. So far, he has watered the plant (with my little help) but this indeed need time to educate him how to do it cos' he will 'flood' the plants 'badly'.... LOL
He seems to like these 3 pots of mini plants cos' he will squat down & admire them lovingly which at this moment I have realised that my little prince has grown up again...
Sometime, I will also tell him that these 3 pots of mini plants belong to him & HE, himself, this big pot of plant, will belong to Daddy & Mummy cos' he will be our forever SUNFLOWER... forever feeding him with good, great 'nutrients' just like what he does to the plants by adding water to prevent dehydration...

We have brought our darling boy - Rico - & one of the twin brothers - Jiarong - to this place called *KID'S KAMPONG*.

This place is situated at Pasir Ris Farmway 1 where I got to know this place through the YP (Young Parents) magazine.

It is an interesting place whereby you could feed the Koi & other animals like rabbits/ hares, gooses, cock/hens, ducks etc.

Especially the Koi & rabbits/ hares, they will all come together & fight for the foods that we have scattered for them...very interesting & scary ;p

Rico enjoys lying on the side table in my parents' place instead of the comfortable sofas. Despite how many times we asked him not to lie there, he just refused to listen to us (sigh!) Sometimes we are wondering, is it the place there more cosy & cooling that he likes it so much or was he waiting for calls cos' now, he is a 'full-time' telephone operator in my parents' place as whenever the phone rings, he will be the first person to pick up the calls!! I'll be bringing Rico to watch this concert next month (June '09) & I am feeling rather excited towards this concert cos' this is the first time we are bringing him to a place like this.
We (hubby & I) have decided to bring him to watch this concert because some of the 14 characters, he recognises them - like Barney & Friends, Bob The Builder etc.
In fact, at first, I am struggling shall I purchase the tickets to bring him watch this concert so I've decided to browse through the website & check & realised that it should be an enjoyable show which it consists of songs that Rico used to listen :)

After watching 'Shaun & Michelle' wedding clips live on Channel 8, it just - somehow - triggered me to put up some of my wedding photographs on site.

Looking back, I realised that I've been married for about 3 years & how time flies...

Thinking back, managing a family is really very CHALLENGING...

It is NOT about just 'LOVE' alone, it is about 'FUTURE' as well as there's a saying goes 'Unless time is managed, nothing else can be managed'...

You have to organise yourself very well in order to start a family cos' if not, you will come across a lot of obstacles eventually...

Hubby has been a very supportive person to me & we have been holding our hands tightly in order to go through a lot more & gain knowledge where we had stepped.

'We need 2 hands to clap' - this is what hubby would love to say to me when I start to feel uncertainty with myself cos' he would want me to share things with him in order to clear my uncertainties.

A lot of uncertainties & worries come & go & we have tried our very best to treat it as 'the stepping stones' in our marriage chapters as there's this saying goes 'Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm' so what I strongly feel 'MARRIAGE' this word is about 'Failure to Success' & not vice versus...

Last but not least, wishing all the couples in the world 'HAPPY MARRIAGE' & more....... :)

Rico enjoys playing ball games with us ESPECIALLY with his daddy. He would love to throw & kick the ball & expect us to go & catch it... (What a boy!) Each every single time, we will be the one surrendering but he just refused to see us resting at a side. :(

I had enrolled our little prince to a neighbourhood playgroup school near my parents' place.

It's all started when I saw the enrolment through the notice board downstair my parents' place.

I was very proud with Rico as he did not wail or feel insecure the very first day when he stepped into the classroom.

Though he looked fine, I'll still monitor very closely with his performance each every single day of him entering this 'small, small world' all by himself.

Now, I have terminated the lessons cause I have started to feel very disappointed with the playgroup education.

I am still in the midst of checking schools for Rico though I have one in my mind already but it is still under consideration.

Here we are - the handsome princes.
These 2 brothers are the twin brothers who I have mentioned before.
They are Jiarong (with the grey t-shirt) & Jiachen (with the white t-shirt).
Jiarong is the elder brother & Jiachen is the youngest.
Both are now in Kindergarten 1 (Wow, times really flies!)

Both characters are very loving & caring.

They adore Rico very much!! They will (without fail) give Rico HUGS & KISSES & help looks after Rico if my mum is busy doing her stuffs. At this point, I also realised that, somewhat, Rico would love to follow their way of behaving like giving someone a warm hugs, caring someone etc. Thanks boys!! :)

Rico started his first few steps independently when he reached 14.5mths.
The picture at the side shown that he was trying to get up by himself.
I still remembered the first person to realise & discover his first few steps was actually one of the twin brothers, Jiachen (a little boy whom my mum babysit).
I was rather impressed & proud of his first step because he could move about the house for a moment without bumping on his bum... in fact, he could balance himself very well!! Well done, Rico!!

Rico enjoys having his meals very much.

Whenever he saw us holding his bowl, he knew it was meal-time & will run towards his high-chair in order to wait for us to carry him.
At times if he refused to do so, we will start playing catching with him around the house & if he lose , he will be having his forfeit by sitting on the high chair to have his proper meal...
This is also a form of teaching him table manners (by us) which somewhat, this has become a habit for him to sit still till he had finished his meal or wait patiently till we gave him the 'green light' to move away... Well done, darling!! :p

Rico enjoys music since he was a few months old.

He enjoys listening to songs very much especially nursery rhymes.

Rico enjoys flipping through our Wedding Photo Albums which we had placed on our TV console.
He loves taking a 'short trip' there & turned page by page as if he was wondering 'hey, where am I??'
Now, he still enjoys the pictures very much & eventually, he will point & say 'Pa pa', 'Ma ma' :)
Hubby & I always say he is our little 'fan-sie'... ;p

Their age difference is just 6 days but they simply look alike... just like twins :)

I was rather impressed because he did not need anything to support behind but as to play safe, I would place a cushion or pillow to prevent any mishaps.

**A Dedication Notes To My Darling Boy, Rico Lim**

When the day I know that I've conceived, I was indeed very happy.
I could not believe myself so fast, as hubby & myself are not in any rush.
Throughout the days of pregnancy, it is not a good experience for me.
I've encountered lots of problems,which all these turned out to be rather alarming!
I told myself I should not give up, as there's no reason for me to do so...
So awaited for these 9 long months, my little prince has finally entered to this world

His birth is a very impressive & precious moments cos' he entered with his both eyes open!! His first cry was rather loud, till now I still kept in myself aloud!!
Feeling with **JOY & BLESSED**, I cuddled him till he took a rest...
Little prince, oh my little prince,
Daddy & Mummy is really very proud to name you Rico Lim....
For sure, you will FOREVER be Daddy & Mummy's little prince!!!
